Size: 76 acres

Telling the story of an innovation hub reborn for the 21st century

Camp North End is a 76-acre former Ford factory, Army depot, missile plant, and warehouse site in Charlotte. Developer ATCO hired Red Propeller to help drive lease-up for their reinvention of the site into “an intentionally designed ecosystem of creativity,” targeting tenants who value inspiring spaces, historic context, and proximity to Charlotte’s hottest neighborhoods.

We started with research into the site, context, competition, and analogous districts in other markets, and interviews with team members, current tenants, and city and area officials and community members. We then developed a profile of target employees and users, and a positioning and brand story based on a history of fostering innovation, reborn for the 21st century.

Based on this story, Red Propeller spearheaded additional creative direction and collateral development that showcased the property’s unique story, location, and offerings.

The result is a unique, thriving place to work, play, shop, and eat and drink.
